Nature Meditation 2025
The United for Waukesha Resiliency Center offers a guided Shinrin-Yoku experience for adults. Shinrin-Yoku can be translated as “breathing in the atmosphere of the forest” and is sometimes called Forest Bathing or Nature Meditation. It is not a hike in the woods nor a walk with a naturalist. Instead, in a small group, you will be invited to open all of your senses, forming a bridge between you and the natural world. Additional invitations will help you slow down to the moment and become present to that which is within and around you. Benefits include a quieter mind, a lowering of heart rate and blood pressure. The immune system becomes stronger. Often, there is a feeling of a greater sense of calm, happiness, and creativity, which can last for several days. Summer 2025 dates will be held on select Monday evenings from 5:15-7:15pm at Retzer Nature Center: 6/16, 7/28, 8/18, 9/15
