First Responders Mental Health

Fire, Police, Sheriff, State Troopers, EMS, Emergency Communications personnel and all other First Responder personnel who were involved in the response to the 11-21 tragedy or who were a part of the investigation are URGED to participate in this program. This program provides CONFIDENTIAL access to mental health services AT NO COST.

To access services or learn more:

· Call the United for Waukesha Resiliency Center at 262-522-0243 and let us know you are a First Responder who has been affected by the 11-21 Waukesha Christmas Parade tragedy and we will offer you resources for your mental health needs or several options if you choose to receive therapeutic services from a licensed mental health professional (you do NOT have to provide us your name or any identifying information).

· You make the appointment with your preferred provider. We’ll take care of the rest!

· Your information will remain confidential at all times, and the clinician will not provide your name or any other identifying information to the UWRC.

· You will not receive a bill from the provider, and your health insurance will not be billed.

**Our center is open to the many hundreds at or affected by the Waukesha Christmas Parade. All of our services are provided at no cost to the recipient. In January 2023, we received an invoice for mental health treatment of 8 police/fire personnel that used about half of our monthly budget. This was just 8 people when there are hundreds eligible for our services.
