Creative Connections Musical Edition (10-14)
The United for Waukesha Resiliency Center is excited to partner again with Healing Harmonies to present Creative Connections Musical Edition, a music therapy group for children and youth affected by the 2021 Waukesha Christmas Parade. The group will focus on being able to hear one another, bond with others, and facilitate social connectedness. This could look like playing instruments and making music together, listening to preferred music and discussing the themes, or self-expression through music and creative arts, with experienced support staff available for deeper reflection as needed. Music can provide non-verbal outlets for emotions, increase feelings of self-worth, and help regain confidence. The group will meet every other Monday from 5:00-5:50 pm starting October 7, 2024. The group is open to ages 10-14 years old (exceptions made as needed). All programming is free of charge.
