Musical Connections

The United for Waukesha Resiliency Center is excited to partner again with Healing Harmonies to present Musical Connections, a music therapy group for children and youth affected by the 2021 Waukesha Christmas Parade. The group will focus on being able to hear one another, bond with others, and facilitate social connectedness. This could look like playing instruments and making music together, listening to preferred music and discussing the themes, or self-expression through music and creative arts, with experienced support staff available for deeper reflection as needed. Music can provide non-verbal outlets for emotions, increase feelings of self-worth, and help regain confidence. This group will meet Mondays from 5:00-5:50 pm at UWRC and is open to ages 6-12 (exceptions made as needed). The group will run from January 6th through March 31st with materials provided. All programming is free of charge.
